In November to March, Antares is sailing to East Indonesia to reach the fabulous Raja Ampat Archipelago. Best dives in Indonesia, sublime landscapes and incredible Papu culture.
Not just the big species such as Reef Sharks and Manta Rays, Giant Trevallies, Sweetlips or Bumpheads Parrotfish, you will be able to see the smallest species such as Pygmy Seahorses and loads of great variety of Nudibranchs (macro-photography fans will be well-served!).

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Sorong – Friwibonda

    Night flight to Sorong + flight to Waisai and boarding on Antares
    Arrival in Sorong in the morning and flight to Waisai early afternoon.
    Pick up at airport and transfer to Waisai harbor.
    Check in cabin. First navigation to Friwibonda Island (Raja Ampat).

    Friwibonda is our first diving / snorkeling spot. Anchorage at night and dinner.

  • Day 2

    Raja Ampat, Dampier Straight – Myoskon Bay

    Early morning, let’s have a beautiful hiking through the jungle (about 45 minutes walking for a 1 hour and half excursion) to observe the Paradise birds on Tapokreng Island.

    Guided by a Papu, we will discover the wildlife of those amazing birds in their natural habitat. Back on board for a short navigation while we’re having lunch. Afternoon, you’ll enjoy diving or snorkeling in the sublime coral gardens. Anchorage for the night and dinner in the Myoskon Bay.

  • Day 3

    Manta rays and Arborek village

    This morning, we are going to enjoying snorkeling or diving with the most magnificent creatures in Manta Sandy, the cleaning station of manta rays.

    Then, step on land to visit the beautiful village of Arborek. It’s a Papu village located in the heart of the National Park. It is supported by numerous NGO. After this nice walk, we will have a diving session under the jetty where beautiful corals get stuck on the pontoon. End of the day, heading to Yangefo, the famous blue water mangroves to be admire a breathtaking sunset.

  • Day 4

    Yangefo and Wofoh Island

    Riding through the mangrove in the morning and enjoy beautiful diving or snorkeling, Antares is sailing to Wofoh during the lunch. Paradise Islands with stunning beach where the diving is a bit particular as the site is covered a wonderful black coral forest where a really rich marine fauna lives in. Anchorage at night and dinner.

  • Day 5

    Aljui Bay

    Visit of the ATLAS pearl farm in the morning. Diving off a wall full of corals. Speedboat exploration in the bay, sublime colors, pinnacles and rich forest.

  • Day 6

    Kawe Island and Equator line

    Crossing the Equator Line following by a diving or snorkeling session at Eagle Rock and Black Rock. You might be lucky to see again some manta rays in middle of nowhere. Afternoon sailing to Wayag, the lost paradise.

  • Day 7

    Wayag archipelago, huge lagoon with splendid limestone (sugarloaf mountains)

    Here we go, the fabulous Wayag archipelago where the famous “Mushrooms Islands” are secretly hiding. Limestones immersed in emerald and turquoise waters surrounded by little islets where the beaches are particularly sublime.
    Snorkeling and diving sessions for a day in this paradise on Earth.
    Trekking up the Mount Pendito to reach one of the most beautiful view point of Raja Ampat. (the climb of 45 minutes, quite steep and slippery).

    Anchorage at night and dinner.

  • Day 8

    Penemu Islands

    Early morning, we set sails to Penemu. We are going to one of the most beautiful coral garden of Raja Ampat: Melissa’s Garden. Beautiful diving or snorkeling in this magical place.

    After lunch, we will explore the lagoon with the dinghy, again, amazing landscapes with those sugarloaf mountains and perfect photos to make.

    We will go up the stairs to reach the view point and get an amazing panorama on Penemu.
    Anchorage at night and dinner.

    Overnight sailing to Waisai.

  • Day 9

    Waisai

    Time to say goodbye to the Antares crew. Disembarking and transfer to Waisai airport. Flight to Sorong or transfer to Sorong by ferry (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) – 2h.

The route and dives are always organized according to the weather conditions, the currents and tides.
