There is hardly any human life in its hinterland; Although it is probably one of the greatest places on earth with marine life occupying 3rd place in marine biodiversity on the planet, surpassed only by Raja Ampat, Indonesia and Great barrier reef in Australia. Its waters are home to the majority of marine life to be found in Indonesia. 1,000 species of fish, 200 species of hard and soft corals and marine mammals. The islands that make up the National Park are a filigree of narrow channels between islands and strong currents that facilitate on oxygenation of the water.
4 days is the perfect length for exploring the best snorkeling spots ranked 5*, hiking to some amazing viewpoints, observing the Komodo dragons, swimming with the majestic manta rays and relaxing!
Day 1
LABUAN BAJO – KELOR ISLAND –MANJARITE ISLAND – KALONG ISLAND
On arrival at Labuan Bajo with your morning flight, you will meet our guide and directly be escorted to Labuan Bajo Port. Leave at 08:00 am from Labuan Bajo Port, directly heading to Kelor Island for snorkeling and trekking in the island. Spend an hour up to two hours on each island to enjoy the beautiful coral reefs and many varieties of fish, if you are lucky you might get to see Manta and sting rays. Next stop is Manjarite Island. We’ll do some snorkeling again and enjoy the beautiful panorama around the beach. The boat will be anchor at Kalong Island and we will stay overninght on the boat. 18.00-19.00PM, we will see Kalong attraction: the bats.
Day 2
RINCA – PADAR ISLAND – PINK BEACH
Leave at 06:00 AM from Kalong Island , directly heading to Rinca Island to see the dragon and do trekking on the island. Arrived in Rinca all the guests will choose if they want to do the trek. Enjoy! Your breakfast will be cooked by our onboard chef while we are sailing to Padar Island for a trekking to the top of the hill. We’ll continue our trip to Pink Beach for snorkeling. Spend an hour up to two hours on each island to enjoy the beautiful coral reefs and many varieties of fish, if you are lucky you might get to see sting rays, turtles and school of dolphins. The boat will be anchored in front of komodo harbor for overningh.
Day 3
Dragons – Pink Beach and Manta point
After breakfast, our captain will head to the island of Komodo where we will walk to see the legendary Komodo dragons. Komodo Island is the larger of the two islands and dragons are living freely there. Escorted by the ranger, we will also have the opportunity to see the little flying lizard and sulphurous or yellow-crested cockatoos.
After the tour, we will have time to relax on the beach of Pantai Merah, a beautiful pink beach which houses a coral reef with a rich marine fauna. Before or after that, we will have the unique possibility to swim with the magnificent Manta rays. Then, continue sailing to the island of Sebayur Kecil where we will spend the night in a protected bay and admire once again a stunning sunset.
Day 4
Sebayur – Kanawa – Bida Dari
Discover the underwater scenery of this small island full of life and color. Before breakfast, let’s have a jump and swim closer to its beaches of fine white sand where you can lie out in the sun. We head to the island of Kanawa. This small island surrounded by beautiful corals and turquoise waters. Large turtles and small blacktip reef can be spotted.
We continue sailing to Bida Dari or Angel Island, located near the town of Labuan Bajo. Moor our boat off the island for the night. This small island meets almost all the requirements of the “paradise island” with a seabed well preserved. From the beach, you only need to swim a few meters with a mask to taste a genuine coral garden and enjoy the beauty of the reef.
