Labuan Bajo – snorkeling – Kampung Rinca – Flying Fox Island
Transfer from the airport/hotel to the port of Labuan Bajo to start our adventure in the pristine waters of Komodo.
We begin our navigation before stopping for a first snorkeling session during which you will have a taste of the rich marine life of the national park.
We will then visit the village of Rinca and meet with the “sea gypsies” who maintain their semi-nomadic tradition aboard their small boats.
In the evening we will reach Kalong, also known as flying fox island. Every evening, during sunset, thousands of bats fly out of their trees in search of food. Be prepared for a fascinating spectacle!
Flying Fox Island – Rinca – Komodo – Pink Beach – Sebayur Kecil
After breakfast, we head to the island of Rinca to visit the famous Komodo dragons in their natural environment, but also the rare birds and other creatures living here in total freedom.
After our first encounter with the dragons, we will continue sailing to Komodo Island where we will hike to see more of these amazing creatures, but also some little flying lizard and sulfurous or yellow-crested cockatoos. We will then take some time to relax on the beach “Pantai Merah”, a beautiful pink-sand beach which houses a coral reef with a rich marine fauna.
Our next destination is the island of Kecil Sebayur where we will spend the night in a protected bay after another stunning sunset.
Sebayur – Kanawa Island – Bidadari Island.
Discover the underwater scenery of Sebayur Kecil, a small island full of life and color. From our boat we can “jump” directly on the reef and swim closer to its beaches of fine white sand where you can lie out in the sun while our staff prepares your breakfast.
Later in the morning, we head to the island of Kanawa hoping to spot some of the large turtles and small black tip reef sharks (not hazardous) known to approach this island every day in search of food.
We will then sail to Bidadari, also known as Angel Island where we will spend the night. With its coral, its white-sand beaches and its turquoise waters, this island really looks like a little paradise on earth. Cherry on the cake, from the beach, you only need to swim a few meters to admire a genuine coral garden and enjoy the beauty of the reef.
Bidadari – Lubuan Bajo – Next Destination
