Starting from the largest marine national park of Indonesia to one of the most fabulous archipelago, Raja Ampat, this route through north coast of west Papua will bring you to Cenderawasih Bay first, where an undulating landscape of waving palms, white sandy beaches, mangrove swamps and massive coral limestone cliffs embraces a peculiar wedge-shaped bay. During this trip, you will spend all your time on the whale shark dives, macro dive sites and wrecks.
Day 1
SORONG
Upon arrival in Sorong, you will be pick up by our team to join the boat. We’re leaving the anchorage for a few hours of navigation with a welcome drink accompanied with a light meal. Afternoon and night dive outside Sorong on a reef patch named “Green Light”. Overnight sail to Pulau Amsterdam.
Day 2 & 3
MANOKWARI BAY
Dive the wrecks around Pulau Amsterdam. If conditions are favorable, visit at the leatherback turtle rookeries at night. Sail to Biak.
WWII Japanese wrecks (Shinwa Maru, Cross wreck or Pillbox wreck) in Manokwari bay. Pulau Biak was a sanctuary for Japanese soldiers during WWII. Those who are interested in the island’s colorful past can learn more in the Biak cave museum.
Day 4 & 5
PULAU PURUP
On the morning, you will enjoy an amazing dive around Pulau Purup to discover the magical marine animals.
Dive north Roon, Pulau Auri and the remains of a Zero plane wreck in Tanjung Ayami.
Day 6 – 8
TANJUNG MANGGUAR
Dive around Tanjung Mangguar and muck diving in Nepanyaur bay.
Dive the bagans with whalesharks.
Wall diving in the atolls, in Tridacna Wall and Spag Point.
Day 8 – 10
MIOSNUM
Wall diving in the atolls, in Tridacna Wall and Spag Point
Dive around Miosnum and West Yapen.
Day 11 & 12
BIAK
Dive the wrecks of the landing barges in Pulau Numfor, completely covered of soft corals and small fish creating a little oasis of life over the white sandy slope in where they lay.
Sail back to Biak to fly the morning after our tenders will take you ashore for your transfer to the airport for your onward travel.
