Day 1

Welcome at Lombok airport and transfer to the Sekotong region in the southwest of the island, approximately one and a half hours by vehicle. Embark on our traditional wooden schooner, the Cahaya Mandiri! After the visit of the boat and the first briefing on board a relaxing evening on board the boat.

Day 2

We anchor this morning south of Lombok to arrive in the early morning on the paradise island of Gili Nangu. Snorkelling and idleness will punctuate this morning under the sign of relaxation. After the meal, it is by pick-up that we will meet the gold seekers installed in the magical landscapes of this region. A timeless encounter! Later, we will swim in the wild bay of Mekaki. And it is under the stars, on a desert island that we will spend the evening, disconnected from everything, in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere where a tasty BBQ, prepared by the crew, will satiate us.

Day 3

This morning we will dive into the translucent waters of Gili Meno where it is very common to come across, among other things, a large number of sea turtles. Landing in the morning on land and transfer by local bus, we will survey the slopes of the famous Rinjani volcano for a walk (2 hours) in the middle of the rain forest. We will enjoy the view of fabulous waterfalls where a cool swim will be possible. We continue in the afternoon by road to the village of Sugihan northeast of Lombok where our boat awaits us. Boarding at the end of the afternoon on the Cahaya Mandiri.

Day 4 & 5

Snorkeling day on the island of Gili Sulat northeast of Lombok, exploration of the mangrove that grows around this small island. Visit the village of Sugihan. We spend the day exploring Moyo Island and its beautiful waterfalls. Short hike to waterfalls and picnic on site. Return to the boat in the afternoon and snorkel on a small coral island at sea.

Day 6

The morning will be devoted to visiting Wera (2 hours), a carpenter’s village where the boats are still built in the traditional way. Then we will sail around 4 hours during our meal to Banta Island. We spend the rest of the day enjoying this magnificent and characteristic island of the Komodo archipelago: arid hills falling on idyllic beaches. If we are lucky we can see a manta ray in snorkeling in our little bay. We take advantage of the sunset on the beach facing the active Sangean Api volcano which is visible in the distance in the sea!

Day 7

This morning we are on the island of Sabolan, a small paradise island not far from the island of Seraya Besar. We dive this morning in the crystal clear waters above a magnificent preserved reef where it is not uncommon to come across black tip sharks or eagle rays! In the afternoon visit the small fishing village on Seraya Besar Island where we discover a community of Bajo (called gypsies of the seas), settled in this village where they live in houses on stilts.

Day 8

Navigation at the end of the night to Loh Buaya Bay on Rinca Island where a park ranger is waiting for us for a hike of approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes. We go to meet the famous monitor lizards, the “Komodo dragons” which can reach 3.50m! It is not uncommon during this walk to come across wild deer and buffaloes.

Back on board and heading south (2h15) to the third island of the park by its size, Padar. Its cut and vertical relief gives the impression of arriving on a “Pirate Island”. If the currents allow it, we moor in a large bay on the island and disembark to enjoy one of the most beautiful pink sand beaches of the archipelago. Snorkeling in the bay.

Day 9

Sunrise at Padar viewpoint: we disembark in the bay and walk around 30 minutes to a belvedere offering a beautiful view of the island ragged in several bays. Please note this point of view is very beautiful, it is therefore also quite popular. We leave the island of Padar towards the main island of the archipelago, Komodo. If conditions allow, a snorkeling session in a bay that is still little known (this may change from year to year). In the afternoon we will be on the outskirts of Pantai Merah, another very beautiful pink sand beach which offers exceptional snorkeling! Sunset from a small vantage point or on the boat.

Day 10

We leave this morning for the Karang Makassar reef also called Manta Point! Today we will try to meet the majestic rays in a reef considered as a huge “cleaning station” for manta rays and leopard rays that get rid of their parasites by tropical fish. It is usually a great opportunity to meet small reef sharks (black tip and white tip, harmless). We set sail for the rest of the day on the islands of Gili Lawah.

Day 11 & 12

Snorkeling at first light in a pass very rich in marine fauna: the strong currents in this small passage make it a privileged place for reef sharks, barracudas and other carnivorous fish. Last day to enjoy Komodo National Park, we explore the Gili Lawah Islands by snorkeling before enjoying a nice view at the end of the day on a hill of the island.

Disembark at Labuan Bajo and transfer to the airport or to your hotel
