Let’s explore the land of the world’s biggest lizards, Komodo National Park. Currents are pretty known in the area to drag flows of dolphins, sharks, manta or eagle rays, pelagics and schools of fish… Ten full days to enjoy this world class diving area and discover the wonders of Komodo National Park. Batu Bolong, Tatawa Kecil, Tatawa Besar, Crystal and Castle Rock, fun dives in North Komodo (Gili Lawah) and exploration in Sumbawa! Without overlooking the Mantas’ Point and the Captain’s secret spots! Not forgetting the surface interval activities whose few hikes and the encounter with the huge Komodo dragons, masters of this savannah’s territory.
Day 1
LABUAN BAJO – KOMODO
Pick up from the airport and transfer to the boat. Welcome drink and introduction of the boat, cruise and team. We require a minimum level of Open Water – 30 logged dives.
Dive 1: Sebayur Kecil, perfect check dive with a wall, slope and sandy bottom (20 to 25 meters). Even though we are not in the national park yet, the reef is very healthy. For the most confirmed divers, a seamount away from the reef offers huge sea fans hosting some pygmy seahorses. Barracudas are often spotted there.
Dive 2: Sebayur, starting on a sandy slope leading to a wall, the marine life here is abundant: leaf fish, groupers, surgeonfish and jack fish.
Day 2
NORTH KOMODO
Dive 1: Tatawa Besar, a classic drift dive just like we love it.
Dive 2: Castle Rock, a must! This seamount located in North of Gili Lawa Laut is worldwide famous worldwide for its incredible underwater activity. For this dive particularly, we will enter the water in the blue and reach the split to observe napoleons, dog tooth tunas, grey reef sharks and white tip sharks surrounded by schools of trevallies and fusiliers.
Dive 3: Golden Passage, a dive which can become very exciting. This channel separating Komodo Island from Gili Lawa Darat Island is a great drift with bumphead parrot fish, ignobilis and white tip sharks.
Dive 4: Gili Lawa Darat, a night dive dedicated to the critters and rare specimens.
Day 3
NORTH KOMODO
Dive 1: Crystal Rock, as rich as Castle Rock, this site can be more impressive for its sumptuous topography and the diversity of the coral.
Dive 2: The Cauldron holds its name from this circus shape. Here again, we dive in an amazing topography where we often have great surprises such as manta rays that can pop up here.
Dive 3: Castle Rock again because we just love this one!

Day 4
BANTA
Navigation to Banta Island.
Dive 1: GPS Point, pelagic and schools of barracudas. If you’re lucky enough, hammerhead and grey reef sharks are sometimes seen there…Nudibranchs and turtles are usually joining the show as well.
Dive 2: Toro Oi, will the Orang-Outang crabs and other nudibranchs lovers! We keep an eye in the blue for passing tunas, sharks and eagle rays.
Dive 3: Banta Bay, night dive
Day 5
BANTA – SANGEANG
Dive 1: High Voltage, with delicious currents and beautiful walls, along which schools of barracudas or big eye Jackfish are quite common. Small critters are also enjoying the stunning reef and clear water, while sharks are patrolling around.
Navigation to Sangeang Volcan Island.
Dive 2: Hot Rocks (also known as Bubbles Reef), you’ll experience the famous “Champagne” Dive, where bubbles are escaping the sandy bottom, giving an unreal feeling of underwater Jacuzzi! But on top of that, amazing nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses, pink anemone, candy crabs are also wandering around.
Dive 3: Sangeang, an amazing muck dive in the black volcanic sandy bottom.
Day 6
SANGEANG – BANTA
Dive 1-2: Deep Purple, a ridge in the northeast of Sangeang. Schools of jacks and barracuda are expected there, and if you’re lucky it’s not uncommon to spot some manta rays as well.
Dive 3: Bubble Reef, again because it’s definitely the best spot of the area!
Sailing to Banta Island before sunset to enjoy a walk on the beach or a hike on one of the crests of Banta to enjoy a beautiful panorama on Sangean Volcano.
Day 7
BANTA – KOMODO
Dive 1: Secret spot, lets get suprise, we might see some manta rays here!
Dive 2: GPS Point, a second opportunity to enjoy the currents of the area.
Dive 3: Batu Bolong, another highlight of Komodo. This famous rock in the middle of the Linta strait is often synonym of strong currents. Being careful in the planning of the dive will allow us to fully enjoy this spectacular dive site. Walls, pinnacles, breathtaking coral and marine life.
Day 8
CENTRAL KOMODO
Dive 1: Siaba Besar, a morning dive in Turtle City.
Dive 2: Siaba Kecil, drift in multiple overhangs surrounded by barracudas and red snappers. A beautiful final firework wait for us there. The staghorn coral attracts clouds of anthias.
Dive 3: Karang Makassar, a shallow drift dive to search for the stars of the national park: the Manta rays!
Possible night dive in Siaba Besar.
Dive 4: Siaba Besar, muck diving at night, a must!
Day 9
CENTRAL KOMODO
Dive 1: Siaba Besar, a sandy patch to look for the flamboyant cuttlefish, ghostpipefish, nudibranchs, upside down jellyfish, pipefish, frogfish and so on…
Dive 2: Batu Bolong, the other side for another great experience!
Dive 3: Mawan, trying to meet the manta rays again
Dive 4: Wainilu, a night dive to spot the beautiful Mandarin fish mating dance, zebra crabs and coleman shrimps on colorful fire urchins.
Day 10
RINCA – LABUANBAJO
Dive 1: Pengah Kecil, small rock with pinnacles, wall and amazing coral and topography.
Rock sitting in the Center East of the park, he has a really good topography. Black and red snappers, giant trevallies, batfishes, emperor and turtles…
Trekking in Loh Buaya (Rinca) to see the Komodo dragons.
Heading back to Labuan Bajo, dinner on land and night on board.
Day 11
LABUAN BAJO
End of the trip and transfer to airport according to your flight schedule.
