This wonderful 22meters traditional sailing boat has been built in 2014 in Sulawesi and launched in 2015. She’s fully equipped for diving to discover the wonders of Komodo National Park. Kira Kira is definitely the answer if you are keen to have a unique liveaboard experience as diver, freediver or spearfisher.


She can host up 8 passengers in four cabins, three are twins and one double on the upper deck, 2 toilets/shower rooms are on the deck. Large space at the fore, sun deck shaded at the aft where to sit and relax. On the lower deck, there is the spacious dining area and kitchen.

Diving, snorkeling and spearfishing activities while cruising from the Gilis to Komodo and back are available. The journey will take you to the most amazing dive sites in this part of Asia. You’ll be stunned by the abundance of colorful fish and preserved corals, from the quiet waters of Moyo to the protected bays of Komodo Marine Park.

Open water and Advanced divers (PADI or equivalent) are qualified to dive within the Komodo Park. Diving equipment, spares and compressor are on board.

Day 1: Start of the trip from the Gili’s – Welcome on board in the late afternoon and having dinner together meeting fellow guests. Set up of the equipment and check-in the cabins before leaving. Sailing overnight to Moyo.

Day 2: Moyo and Satonda – Arrival in Moyo in the morning for two dives at Medang. Then heading to Satonda to arrive at sunset and take a look at the sky when it become filled of millions of bats. They travel from Satonda to Sumbawa to hunt at the same time every evening.  Sailing overnight to Sangeang.

Day 3: Sangeang and Banta – In the early morning, arrival in the North of Sangeang for an exciting diving at the amazing Bubble Reef. Then sailing down to Banta, for a second diving session at GPS point. Sailing to Komodo, arrival in the late evening.

Day 4: Dragon safari and fantastic diving – In the early morning, entrance in the Komodo National Park. Guided by a local ranger for a walk around the park and see the largest monitor lizards on earth, the “Komodo Dragon” at very close range in their own habitat and enjoy the fascinating panorama of the islands. Then 3 diving spots the rest of the day. Anchorage in Komodo bay overnight.

Day 5: Komodo – 3 others diving sites around the islands of Rinca for the day. Anchorage in the North of Komodo Island in the evening.

Day 6: Komodo – 3 diving spots around the Islands of Komodo, Manta Point and the fabulous site of Gili Lawah. Hiking to a view point at sunset to see the amazing panorama. Overnight sailing to Banta.

Day 7: Banta – Sangeang – Moyo – Diving at Banta Island in the morning then travelling through the day to Sangeang for a late afternoon diving in Sangeand House Reef. Overnight sailing to Moyo.

Day 8: Moyo – Gili’s – Morning Diving in Haji’s Reef then a land tour to see Moyo’s Waterfall followed by an afternoon diving at the Moyo wall. Barbecue dinner on the beach. Sailing overnight back to the Gili Islands.

Day 9: End of the trip – Disembarking on Gili Air in the morning
